Marco Nizzoli

BIOGRAPHY

Marco Nizzoli was born in Reggio Emilia in 1968, and graduated at European Design Institute in Milan in 1989.

In 1987 he joined MBP Editions and illustrated several albums of the popular italian series "Alan Ford".

In 1991 he received the Rino Albertarelli Prize from ANAFI (Associazione Italiana Amici del Fumetto e dell'Illustrazione ).

In 1991, after illustrating several episodes of "Angel Dark", written by Max Bunker, with Massimo semerano he created the baroque science-fiction series “Fondazione Babele” for the magazine “Cyborg”.

For Phoenix editions Marco Nizzoli drew the erotic book “Simbaby” and the graphic novel “Raymond Capp” on texts by Federico Amico.

From 1995 to 1996 he drew two episodes of the series ESP written by Michelangelo La Neve, shortly followed by the erotic graphic novels: "Il Vizioso Mondo di Keto", "Il Distinto Fleev" e "La Bella Estate", all published by Trentini editions.

He also illustrated 5 books of the series “Napoleone” for Sergio bonelli Editore.

Since 2003 his work is been published in France, by Les Humanoides Associés editions:" Le Jour des Magiciens", on a text by Michelangelo La Neve, and “ Les Enfants du crepuscule” on text by Massimo semerano in 2006.

For the publisher Lo Scarabeo Nizzoli illustrated two tarot decks,”I Tarocchi dei Segreti (Secret Tarots)” (1997) and “ I Tarocchi dell’Incantatrice dei Sogni ( Dream Enchantress Tarot)” (2009).

 With the scriptwriter and film-maker Alejandro Jodorowsky, he has illustrated the series “Le monde d'Alef Thau” for Delcourt Editions.

Marco Nizzoli is currently collaborating with the publishing house Sergio Bonelli Editore illustrating the bestseller horror series "Dylan Dog".

He is also teaching at the International school of comics in Reggio Emilia.

BIOGRAPHIE

Marco Nizzoli est né à Reggio Emilia en Italie en 1968. Il étudie à l'Institut Européen de Design de Milan où il passe son diplôme en 1989. Mais dès 1987, il se consacre à la bande dessinée et travaille pour de nombreuses maisons d'éditions : MBP, Phoenix, Trentini, Vents d'Ouest, Humanoïdes Associés, Delcourt, Sergio Bonelli. Il illustre de nombreux albums, livres, et participe à des séries. Restant dans le domaine de la BD, ses travaux sont tour à tour du domaine de la science-fiction, de l'érotisme, du fantastique. Il travaille avec le célèbre Alejandro Jodorowski sur la série "Le monde d'Alef Thau" en 2008/2009. 
 
Il réalise deux jeux de tarot pour l'éditeur italien Lo Scarabeo : le Tarot de l'Enchanteresse des Reves, et le Tarot des Secrets.
 
Aujourd'hui il travaille sur un projet d'illustration de la série d'horreur best-seller "Dylan Dog" chez l'éditeur Sergio Bonelli et enseigne à l'École Internationale de la BD à Reggio Emilia.

BIOGRAFIA

Marco Nizzoli, nato nel 1968 a Reggio Emilia, si diploma all’Istituto Europeo di Design di Milano nel 1989.Nel 1987 entra nello staff della casa editrice MBP per cui disegna alcuni albi di Alan Ford.Nel 1991 riceve il Premio Rino Albertarelli dall'ANAFI (Associazione Italiana Amici del Fumetto e dell'Illustrazione).

Dopo aver disegnato il personaggio di “Angel Dark” su testi di Max Bunker, crea assieme a Massimo Semerano la serie “Fondazione Babele” per la rivista “Cyborg”. Per la Phoenix realizza il libro erotico Simbaby e la miniserie Raymond Capp, su testi di Federico Amico. Nel biennio 1995-1996 realizza 2 episodi della serie “ESP, su testi di Michelangelo La Neve, a cui fanno seguito Il Vizioso Mondo di Keto, Il Distinto Fleev e La Bella Estate per la casa editrice Trentini. Realizza 5 albi della serie “Napoleone” per la Sergio Bonelli Editore. È del 2003 il debutto sul mercato francese con l’editore Les Humanoides Associés con la serie Le Jour des Magiciens, su testi di Michelangelo La Neve, mentre è del 2006 la sua seconda serie francese, “I figli del tramonto”, su testi di Massimo Semerano. Per la casa editrice Lo Scarabeo ha pubblicato due mazzi di tarocchi, i”Tarocchi dei Segreti” (1997) e i “Tarocchi dell’Incantatrice dei Sogni” (2009).Ha collaborato con lo sceneggiatore e regista Alejandro Jodorowsky disegnando la serie “Il mondo di Alef Thau” edito da Delcourt.
Attualmente è al lavoro sulla serie Dylan Dog pubblicata dalla Sergio Bonelli Editore.

Insegna alla Scuola Internazionale di Comics di Reggio emilia.
